In 2000 I was forced to resign my tenured faculty position at Trinity International University where I was chairperson of the music department. Now I work at a Lutheran College in Iowa. I want to talk to you about an article I would like to write asking why Catholic institutions of higher learning don't take music seriously, especially compared to Lutherans, but, imagine that, even compared to Evangelicals. The more orthodox the school, the less likely you will have any kind of serious approach to the study of music. I thought you could help me or perhaps even collaborate.
